Historical Dosage: - Capsules: 3 of our capsules {400mg} 2
times per day for 10 days, then decrease to 2 capsules 2 times per day.
Body Systems Targeted: - Immune.
Application: Samento is still the same plant (Uncaria tomentosa) as
Cat's Claw, but different in it's amazing power to strengthen the immune
system. It is a rare chemotype of a medicinal plant commonly known as
TOA-free Cat's Claw. Unlike traditional Cat's Claw products, it does not
contain chemical antagonists called tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs).
Although Uncaria tomentosa plants look alike to the naked eye, they
occur in nature with two very different chemical make-ups, called
chemotypes. One chemotype provides POAs, the type of oxindole
alkaloids (OAs) proven to benefit both naturaland aquired immunity. The
second chemotype provides TOAs, the type of OAs that do not benefit
aquired immunity and cancel out the benefits provided by POAs.
Samento is a wildcrafted product of a unique Pervian rain forest and has
been found to be TOA free.
The British Naturopathic Journal, Vol 19, No. 2, 2002, reported that
studies conducted by John Kule, MD found that the following conditions
